To edit an existing Article, select "Edit" from the Article Options menu at the top of the Article (the right-most green button). If you do not see the three green buttons, you do not have permission to edit the Article in view. 

Articles are styled with markdown, which you can write by hand, or use the styling controls at the top of the editor to create.
